Not much has changed since yesterday. Hunter is still fighting his raw throat and mouth. He told Jana and I many weeks ago to try and make him continue to eat and walk even when he doesn't want to, and that's where we find ourselves. I try and keep my posts honest, but still upbeat. It's hard to find a whole lot of fun things to gleam out of today. Our Dr. has told us that Hunter won't feel better until his counts start to come up. He didn't expect that to happen until next week at the earliest. So, I'm asking for prayers that his baby marrow will surprise the doctors and start showing themselves even earlier. I know we're not the first to watch a loved one go though chemo, but it's no walk in the park to watch him suffer. Hunter's mouth and nose are starting to bleed from the sores. He's constantly coughing up blood and mucous. His doctors are keeping a close eye on all his bloodwork. Today he got platelets.
In happier news....the boys got long overdue haircuts. We were going to buzz them with daddy, but Benton wasn't on board. We weren't about to make him. Thanks Honey for taking all 3 at once. They look good! Hope you eventually got all the sticky off those little fingers! These guys will do just about anything for a sucker.
This probably hasn't been the easiest post to read. So many of you are asking for specific things to pray for, so today I've given you lots of choices. Tonight we had yet another homemade dinner delivered to the hospital. We are so grateful for all the love, support, and most importantly prayers for Team Hanner in these "valley days."
