May 31, day +35

Whoops! I thought I updated Tuesday, but it turns out its been a while since my last post. We've had a wonderful quiet week. Tuesday's clinic visit was awesome and Hunter's blood levels and magnesium levels were right in line to where they need to be. He got IV magnesium in clinic just to give him a little boost, and was told to keep doing what he was doing.

Tuesday was Mark and Jana's 33rd anniversary, so after clinic she headed to meet Mark then to work at the dealership. I know she was ready to see the rest of the family, but it must have been hard to leave Hunter behind. She's also the only person who can close the books at the dealership, so she was needed at work too. I'm so glad that she was able to spend these last 6 weeks with us, helping Hunter get through some really rough days but also to get to experience the miracle of his healing.

Also at Tuesday's clinic visit, I got to meet one of the ladies in the blood flow lab that processed Hunter's marrow. She goes to church with Michelle's best friend, and had been praying for Hunter before we even arrived in Houston. It gave me chills to hear that as his marrow was going through the lab, it was prayed over by people we had never met. Keli also told me that the staff in the blood lab are reading and following the blog. God works in so many ways! I'm so glad she recognized me in the hallway and I got to thank her in person.

The boys had a great long weekend with Honey and Poppa and logged lots of outside and cousin time. It doesn't get any better to our guys!

Benton calls his Be The Match shirt his "miracle shirt." I couldn't agree more!

Yep, that's a snakeskin. The joys of boys:)

Caleb is giving Honey some love. I can't say enough about my parents who have moved into our house, work full time, and still keep up with our busy crew. Team Hanner is incredible.

The boys didn't know that Nana was back in town. She surprised them Thursday night after work and they were crazy with excitement. Clayton, who is usually the least affectionate of our three, was especially overjoyed to see his Nana. He's changed a lot over the last 6 weeks, so Hunter and I were jealous but happy that Nana was home. They went swimming, then had a pizza picnic on the floor. G-Daddy did a fabulous job of keeping the boys several weekends, but I'm sure he was glad to have another adult to help!

Hunter and I have had a very peaceful week here in the RV. He is still have a great deal of shoulder pain from the clot he developed. He has to stay on top of his pain pills or it gets almost unbearable. He has a hard time getting comfortable enough to sleep and usually only gets a few hours of rest each night. We are praying that his pain will soon go away! When he's not hurting, he is eating and drinking pretty well. We feel so blessed that his recovery is going so well. We give all the glory to God!
