We have lots of good news to report from today! Hunter has FINISHED his chemo!!! His elevated liver enzymes have DECREASED!!! And, Caleb is HOME from the hospital. As you can imagine, we are relieved. The power of prayer is amazing. We've had a pretty boring day here in Houston, and boring is good.
Tomorrow is a day of rest, which will be nice. Hunter's liver enzymes still need to come down. There is no reason to think that they won't be even better in the next couple days. The current plan is to start back on his antibiotics and antivirals Friday. Hunter will need his day of rest to prepare for the coming week ahead when he starts to show the side effects of the chemo. For now, we are going to enjoy and celebrate that fact that he's completed chemo, and his transplant is Friday!
With my mom in the hospital with Caleb last night, our families jumped in and took care of Benton and Clayton. Benton stayed with Uncle Chase, Aunt Macey, and Hudson. It's safe to say from the wrestling video and popsicle stained tongue that I saw on Facetime that he had a good evening. I was happy to get this picture of Chase reading Benton his bedtime story. I can't say it enough, but our family is incredible.
Mom said that when she got home with Caleb, the boys just hugged and hugged. Caleb was asking about his brother in the hospital and saying he missed him. Clayton, not so much. Reunited, and it feels so good! (Don't mind that they're in the same clothes as yesterday) Poppa must not have been sure when the pajamas were located :)

Poppa stayed home with Clayton. Clayton loved having the run of the house. It's very rare for the twins to be split up, and he ate up every moment of one-on-one time. He found a stray pacifier and was not wanting to give it up. Silly boy.
Meanwhile, Caleb was having a ball flirting with his nurses, drinking unlimited juice, and having Honey all to himself. If Caleb wants Olive Garden breadsticks for dinner...no problem because Uncle Nathan and Aunt Katie will bring it to you. Thankfully, he bounces back really quickly from his asthma attacks and was sent home this morning on antibiotics for his ear and breathing treatments several times a day. He's a very cooperative patient.

Hunter is just about to start his anti-regection med. We are so excited that transplant day is almost here!
