Getting to know Caleb and Clayton

We spent our first few days at home cuddling, loving, and getting to know these two. At first I had the hardest time keeping them straight, even though they aren't identical. I'm going to blame it on the lack of sleep!

Clayton Zachary is sweet cheeked, big ol eater. All I had to do is get him close, and he latched on (yes I'm breastfeeding them) like a champ. He was happy as could be with no worries as long as he had a full tummy. He loves to snuggle, stretch out, was pretty laid back, and slept cuddled next to his brother. His hands are big and wide, and his feet and very long. Although we didn't hear it much at first, his voice is low and deep.
Caleb Chase is a little fireball. He was not as quick to catch on to nursing and required a little help and patience from mommy. Tiny Caleb was sure to let you know when he was in need of something with a high pitched, squeaky cry best described as a dying animal. Daddy thought it would be a great predator call. Poor guy was soon labeled our "high maintenance" child. He has a head full of beautiful hair, and looked very much like his daddy. Thankfully after a few weeks (3 to be exact) he figured out he liked a full tummy and has become a much better eater and gotten much fatter too.
The boys spent their first several weeks sleeping in mommy and daddy's room in the cradle their big brother slept in. Punches from arms that escaped from swaddling went unnoticed and cries from their brother didn't matter at all. They loved sleeping together! It just melted your heart to see the two of them cuddled together:)

Words cannot even describe the blessing that these boys are to our family!
