When I asked Benton what kind of party he wanted for his birthday, he said he wanted an animal party (shocker) and cupcakes. The only time I want to spend outside in the middle of June involves water, so an animal pool party it was! Honey made his birthday shirt, and he was so excited! This was the first year we invited friends, and we enjoyed watching him interact with them.
It was HOTTT. I worked up a sweat just by looking at these pictures.
This was Ben, the garbage disposal. He had probably four pieces of pizza, and walked around drinking abandoned capri suns. This was his look of concentration trying to drink while wearing floaties. By then end when ice cream was served, he was so full he turned down ice cream. I don't think I've ever seen him full before.
Couldn't resist....Daddy pulled him away from the cupcakes after he ate three. The nerve!
Presents were a group effort. Our loved ones know him well. We came home with fun new books, puzzles, cars, and games. What a fun evening! We are thankful for all those who came to celebrate our little man!
