Thanksgiving 2011

We spent our thanksgiving this year in San Antonio at the wonderful Hill Country Hyatt.  Our suite was perfect for our group.  The kids all could take naps in the bedroom while everyone else could visit in the living area.  The resort was very geared towards families.

We arrived Tuesday night in time to eat dinner then Benton, Hunter, and Nana made their first nightly visit to get smores around the campfire.  I wasn't feeling well, so I turned in early.  Wednesday we hit Sea World after the twins morning nap.  It was perfect weather, not too crowded, and the shows were a hit with our big boy.  Sadly, I didn't have my camera.  Thursday we had a feast at the hotel's buffet.  There was the traditional thanksgiving food as well as an incredible salad bar, fruit, breakfast, kids buffet, ice cream, dessert, and coffee selection.  No one left hungry.  After we were stuffed, Chase, Macey, Erin, Hunter and I played a round of golf.  Again, we couldn't have asked for better weather.  It had been a while since we had played, but we still had fun.  Friday Hunter and Benton had to check out the heated pools and lazy river.
Poor E got my stomach bug, and the ride home was less than pleasant.  Caleb and Clayton feel asleep and about 45 minutes into the ride home a pack of motorcycles drove by.  Clayton screamed the entire remainder of the trip.  They had been such good little travelers for the week, but I was about ready to pull my hair out by the time we pulled into Abilene.
We ran into Santa on the way to our Thanksgiving meal.
It was so good to spend some time with Grandpa and Ethel.  They had 3 great-grands that they got to meet for the first time.

I'm thankful for all my boys:)
What a great week.  Thanks Nana and G-Daddy!
