Christmas Eve

We had a beautiful start to our Christmas Eve as we woke up to big ol snowflakes coming down.  Hunter and Benton got up early to do a little duck hunting, and I got to sleep in all the way to 8:15.  My wake up call usually comes a little earlier than that!  It was too warm for the snow to stick around long, but we enjoyed some time playing outdoors while the twins slept.

After lunch we headed to Honey and Poppa's house for the day.  We had a leisurely afternoon.  Hunter constructed our gingerbread village, while the girls made some cookies to leave for Santa.

Benton, Ben, and Clara enjoyed decorating their gingerbread houses.  What's not to love about a big bowl of candy being placed in front of you.  Benton's house is pretty sparsely decorated, as is Ben's.  They turned out pretty cute!

After dinner, the kids all opened up matching jammies from Honey and Poppa.

Poppa read them the story of the first Christmas, we gave our nighttime kisses, and went home to wait for Santa to visit!
