It's high time I updated all my boys accomplishments on my blog. Otherwise, everything just runs all together!
At 9 months Clayton:
- loves to eat! He loves bananas, peaches, blueberries, pears, apples, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, puffs, yogurt melts, gerber cheetos, and pancakes. He tolerates green beans, peas, and avacados. Clayton has a great pincher grasp and shovels food in like someone might take it away. He frequently chokes, and I have to watch him very carefully at meal time. He signs milk and eagerly and vocally yells for me to nurse him when he wakes up. He is pretty lazy with a sippy cup and will drink from it when I lift it up for him. He can hold his own cup when laying on his back.
- loves to jabber. He says momma, daddy (on occasion), and yea while he claps for himself. If you are not feeding him fast enough, he will let you know. On a good day he will sign please, but not consistantly. Clayton also likes to communicate with Caleb. If Caleb is in another room, he will give a little yell that Caleb usually returns. So cool.
- has one tooth. It popped through a day before he turned 9 months.
- rolls like a log. Once Caleb started crawling it gave Clayton a little motivation to do some moving. Up until recently Clayton was very content to sit and extend his long reach for toys he wanted. He loves to hoard up toys and frequently tries and is usually successful in taking things from Caleb.
- is a big boy! Last time we were weighed he was pushing 21 lbs. He wears 12-18 month clothes and shoes and a size 4 diaper. His car seat is getting pretty snug.
- still has awesome hair. It's several inches long and stands up. I keep saying any day now it's going to get too heavy and lay down.
- can be stubborn. Once he gets mad, he can stay that way. He cried a good 3 hours on our car trip without giving up and falling asleep.
- doesn't like loud noises. If Benton or Fred are really loud, he sticks out his bottom lip and gives a very sad cry.
- likes to read books. He gets super excited and loves touch and feel books.
- plays with trucks, balls, and little people animals. Sometimes boys are just predictable:)
- sleeps 11-12 hours a night. We do either 2 good naps of a couple hours apiece and go to bed around 8 or 3 so so naps and are in bed closer to 9. He loves to play peek with his blanket when I lay him down to bed.
- loves his baths. He splashes up a storm and his legs just start kicking like crazy when he sees the tub. Thanks goodness for bath seats and a daddy who gives baths!
- We couldn't love him any more if we tried!
