Several months ago the fine folks at West Texas Rehab Center asked Hunter if he would be a part of their annual telethon. They have been so good to us there, and we were happy to participate in anything that would benefit the patients at the WTRC. Then they asked if the boys would join us on stage. I will admit that I lost a little bit of sleep wondering how my busy four and seven year old boys would do with live TV. Thankfully, they did great despite it being way past their bedtime! No nose picking or hitting onstage:) I call that a win!

| My boys and me all spiffed up! |
Hunter just this last week had his 106 & 107th visit for Physical therapy. He graduated Occupation Therapy after going twice a week for six months. Each one of those visits has been personalized to progress Hunter forward in getting back to his normal everyday life, and to help him work through and around his weaknesses from AIDP. It's been a long rehab journey, but through lots of hard work he's come so far. I feel like I am more compassionate after spending time watching others who struggle with everyday tasks that require no thought or effort from me. His therapist have both been answers to prayers. They both combined skill and knowledge with fun loving personalities that have helped Hunter not get discouraged with the monumental task of relearning every single movement that he took for granted his whole life. Bubba and Jodi have both taken the time to listen to what Hunter and I both needed help in figuring out what to work on next. I can't say enough about them!
| Would Hunter stop by the day before and do a live interview? Sure, no problem! I'll watch from home, thank you very much. |
Here is the story WTRC put together for the broadcast. I'm a little sad that the cover photo isn't Hunter's smile at the end of the piece. We have all taken a screen shot of the image and it often shows up in picture texts.
Backstage in the green room.....
We were needing some entertainment:)
