Our December probably looked a lot like yours...busy with activity. We enjoyed just getting to be present in our kids' lives this year. We had a few really cold days, but most of the month was so nice outside. My boys even went to school a day or two in shorts. Hunter had days with energy, and days when work was all he could handle. Regardless, the Hanner fam made lots of memories. Everything was sweeter with Hunter with us instead of in the hospital! I will let the pictures do most of the talking!

These next two pictures are both taken on December 13. This year, Hunter and Sadie lit the advent candle for Joy at church.

Last year was the first time Hunter and the boys got to see each other since the beginning of September.
What a difference a year makes! Last year, Hunter was still using the ventilator at night, and his speaking valve made him feel like he was suffocating. He put it on to say a few words, but even the very act of sitting in this wheelchair was excruciatingly painful. It is so very good to be home with a healthy Hunter.

No children or paper or clothes were burned in the candlelight service:)
We also got to go to the Hanner Chevrolet company party this year. It was at a barn in the middle of nowhere, and Santa even stopped by. We had a great time spent with wonderful people. Excellent job of planning Nana and E! Our family has been blessed by every one of the employees. They are more like family than anything else.
There were school parties....
sending Ernie home to Tennessee,
Christmas movies to watch,
ugly sweater parties to attend,
and Christmas light viewing with hot chocolate.
It was a great month!
