An Angel Fire Christmas

It has been a wonderful whirlwind of a last month here around the Hanner house. Benton left for Angel Fire December 10th with Nana and Aunt E. Hunter and I spent the week he was gone visiting all our doctors, dentist, even my eye doctor, plus the last week of school. I was so glad he was in the mountains having fun and not dragged to all my appointments. Thankfully, I was cleared to go on one last vacation before the boys arrive. We spent a week relaxing, reading, playing in the snow, watching movies, and being spoiled with gifts and lots of free time! I get tired pretty easily, so I enjoyed the week to relax at home then another week with lots of extra hands to help with the little man. Chase and Macey got to join us, so the entire Hanner clan was together.

As you can see, somehow Benton ended up with a large pile of gifts! He loved his magnetic animals, books, and bath toys. Mommy loved his new bedding for his big boy room!
The weather was nice for playing, but not great for skiing. We arrived Saturday to several inches of fresh snow. When we got up in the morning, we saw lots of elk walking right beside the house. What a beautiful sight! It wasn't quite cold enough for the ski mountain to be making lots of snow, so there weren't many runs open. We found plenty to do to entertain ourselves!
Benton was quite spoiled to be carried up the sledding hill. Everyone else got quite the workout! I was the official photographer and spent most of the time outdoors trying to catch my breath.

The big boys spent many hours riding four wheelers in the snow. Sounded cold to me.

Unfortunately, our week came to a close and we had to go back to the real world. The last week of the year is always a busy one for the dealership, so it was great to be well rested before they had to get to work. I know the babies sure missed all the daily desserts that Erin made!

Looks like such a fun trip! Benton is not spoiled - not one little bit! :-) What a loved little boy!
