Camping!

We don't have much of a fall here in West Texas. It usually goes from blazing hot to freezing cold. While I was busy at dittos for kiddos, Hunter decided that he and Benton needed to do some backyard camping. Let me tell you, this made for one happy little boy! All day long he pointed to the tent set up in the backyard in anticipation. I am so thankful I am married to a man who values spending time with his son!

Benton loved getting in his sleeping bag, the sounds of the outdoors, reading his Bible stories by flashlight, and laying next to daddy. He didn't quite get that he was supposed to sleep. Hunter said he would get still for a few minutes and then remember where he was and jump up to play some more. At a couple hours past his bedtime, Benton told Hunter "I tired. I go inside to sleep in my bed." That's one of the advantages to camping in your backyard:)
