Fossil Rim

Our weekend getaway continued with a trip to Fossil Rim on our way home from Dallas. I had never been before. It is a wildlife refuge for all kids of endangered animals that you tour in the comfort of your car. We all enjoyed the animals while cool air blew on our faces and the babies slept away in their car seats. Some of the animals will even come up to your car to be fed. It is awesome sight to come over the hill to a herd of zebras and giraffes! Benton LOVED looking at the animals and has his brochure of all the animals memorized. If you're not sure what a blackbuck, audad, or addax is, just ask our little man. He also did pretty well at the gift shop with Nana and G-Daddy there! I have tons of pictures, but in the interest of time I'll only include a few!

Fallow deer
Giraffe and European Red Deer
This guy was pretty friendly. He figured out how to get his entire head, antlers included into the car. We got a good laugh at Nana's expense. She was covered in deer snot and drool.

The end was cutting into nap time. Can you tell? Two minutes down the road and he was out! We were all pretty worn out after our weekend away! Thanks Nana and G-Daddy for all your help. I don't think we're ready to travel with 3 all by ourselves yet!
