Five Months

Another month gone by! My little stinkers are growing! They have changed tons this last month. I love getting to know their sweet little personalities.

Caleb Chase:

-He's our little mover and shaker. He rolls from back to tummy and tummy to back. Caleb is always squirming, jumping, or grabbing for something. Even while eating, he is pushing his feet against the chair just waiting to go somewhere. At this age he loves making laps in the run around, jumping on my lap, and kicking his feet vigorously to shake all the toys hanging from his activity mat. Boy is BUSY, and I know I'm in for it when he figures out he can steamroll to get where he wants. You better believe I'm not showing him anytime soon.

-He is such a good sleeper. He usually wakes first in the mornings, and I hear him singing happily until I come get him. I usually have to wake him up from naps to eat during the day. We dropped the swaddle this month, and I just give him his blanket and he rolls around in his bed. I usually don't hear a peep out of him when it's time to go to sleep. All my boys slept through two days of jackhammering out concrete and many days of construction at our house.

-Caleb is losing his hair. It's thinning out, too long to spike up, and has a red tint. His eyes look green some days with a few hints of blue and brown. He is still in size 2 diapers, and 9 month clothes. His little dimple is still as sweet as can be. Just by looking at him you can tell he'll be mischievious. He can sit unsupported for a little while, then will come crashing down. Usually it's because he's diving for something he wants.
Clayton Zachary:

-He is our little teddy bear. Though you can't see it in this picture above, he has about two inches of fine fuzz that stands straight up. It is adorable. His cheeks just beg to be kissed. He smiles almost all day long. Clayton loves to lay on his back, kick his toes in the air, and sing. Tickles, patty cake, and peek elicit lots of baby giggles from him. He doesn't really enjoy having to work for anything. He can roll off his tummy, but most of the time he just fusses. The work of sitting on his own makes him puke every time.

-Clayton is our big boy. I had to move him to size 3 diapers because they were leaving red marks on his fat thighs. It is laughable to watch him latch on when it's time to eat. That may be the only time he uses some of those muscles! He is long and size 12 month clothes fit him the best. Benton fits in bumbo seats better than our big chunk.

-He's turned into quite the pincher. I have several bruises on the insides of my arm from his little grip. I've also found him with a handful of Caleb's hair. Hope he's not the reason Caleb is thinning. The toy stealing is also in full force at our house.
Just keeping it real....this is how a lot of my pictures turn out.
Love these two!
We have moved to a four hour schedule this month, which means much more time to get stuff done around the house. Our day usually starts around 7:30. Between 9 and 9:30 we go down for a two hour plus nap. I usually have to wake them to eat again around 11:30. Up for close to two hours, then another long nap. They don't take a real good third nap, and I usually feed them after 3 hours at 7. Bedtime is around 8 and I pick them up out of a dead sleep to feed them one at a time starting at 10:30. I cherish my time getting to cuddle and rock in the peace and quiet of a dark house. I know they're probably ready to drop that last feeding, but I'm not ready to give up holding my sleeping babies. They don't stay little for long.
