Full Term!!!

It's official. Today I am 37 weeks. Benton is now considered full term. Big news first. We went to the doctor on Tuesday and had a sonogram. He weighted 7 lbs. 3 oz. Dr. Mascorro started out by measuring his head, remeasured, then said that his head is the size of a 1 week overdue baby. However, he is sitting indian style breech. He appears to be very comfortable. All this said, we have decided to schedule a c-section for June 16th! Our doctor asked "What day would you like for him to be born?" It really struck me as strange to pick our son's birthday, but for now June 16th is it! I have been trying to hold out for all our family to drift back into town. Daddy has been in Louisiana for two weeks and returns today. Michelle and Clara are driving into town for her birthday weekend. We are still waiting on Mark and Erin who are on a mission trip in the middle of Mexico. I promised I would do my best to not have him before they got back, but after Tuesday it will be a different story! I realize I have absolutely no control over when Benton decides to come, but my blood pressure has been creeping up a little and I have the feeling that Dr. Mascorro could be convinced to operate sooner. We'll see when we go back! Now for the pictures. Since Daddy has been out of town, Jacki has been working like crazy to finish Benton's quilt. I choose a twin size pattern of squares of plaids. I could not be more excited than how it has turned out. Sorry these are upside down. I don't know what happened.

Here is it laid out upstairs. Since this picture Jacki has sewn all the blocks together, added a red border, and a strip of denim around the edge. The back is also a denim. I have not seen the finished product, which is so unlike Jacki. She usually shows me just as soon as she does anything for Benton. I can't wait to see it in his room!

Last night the dealership was a table sponsor at a Junior Achievement awards ceremony. I haven't posted too many pregnant pictures, so here's a few of my 37 weeks pregnant look.

Jana is not allowed to take my picture while pregnant anymore. When I turned sideways, she laughed.


I think it's about time for my nap. I've been waking up the last several weeks many times in the night and I'm not able to go back to sleep. I guess God is getting me prepared for the coming weeks! Have a happy Friday!
