We made it to Angel Fire for a quick ski trip and had an absolute blast! We left on a Wednesday at lunch, and the kids traveled so well. They just bouce to sleep in the back of the motor home all buckled in their seats:) Hunter, Chase, and our friend Erinn drove in after work. We took it easy Thursday morning to let them catch up on rest, then hit the slopes that afternoon. I didn't ski last year, so it took me a little while to shake off the rust. A half day was perfect for all of us!
Nana found these cool little wraps that tied them to their chairs, and the twins were loving getting to sit at the table with big brother.Friday morning we got Benton a ski lesson. Let me tell you, it was just about the most adorable thing I've ever seen. He marched right up to "Coach B" held her hand, and off they went. He learned how to push his skis out to stop, how to ride the magic carpet, shuffle his little skis, and that he could get skittles from his teacher if he'd go another run. It was all over (halfway through his lesson) when he spotted Nana and G-Daddy.
After his lesson, G-Daddy was dying to take him on the bunny lift. He told Mark "we're flying high in the ski" and they chatted up the entire lift. G-Daddy skied him between his legs down the hill for several runs. Benton's favorites included going fast and jumps. Can you spot them below?
Benton went home with Nana for hot chocolate and Hunter and I skied the rest of the day. The weather was perfect for a relaxing day.
Back at the house, we took our crew out to play in the snow. It was a little close to nap time, but still was a big hit.
