Way back when, we spent Christmas Eve at Honey and Poppa's house. We had a yummy meal of Mexican stack up and spent the night playing each other in scrabble iphone style. Honey and Poppa couldn't have been more happy that our entire family was under one roof. Clara woke us up nice and early, and we all came downstairs together to see what Santa brought.

Still sleepy Benton walking into the living room was more concerned with his blanket that we hadn't taken away yet.

Santa brought Clara a table and chairs. Can't you just feel the excitement?

He finally perked up enough to open a few gifts, then made his way into the playroom to read some books. We opened the rest of his gifts for him. Maybe next year he'll be a little more into it!

Benton was well loved and gifted with many movies, lots of toys, and some cute sweaters.

A big hit with these two was a tent with a tunnel from Honey and Poppa. We have logged quite a few hours in our tent.
Here's Benton and Daddy on his cool John Deer trike Hunter picked out for him. I envision many hours spent riding around in the future!
After our presents were all opened we had a pancake feast and all got on our warm clothes to enjoy our white Christmas.

The boys were supposed to play with the kids, but quickly started a snowball fight with each other. Notice Hunter hiding behind mom and Clara. Classy!

Seems like Nathan had the same idea. Honey and Benton built a snowman.

I think this is our only family shot from the day. Benton wanted down! He would have stayed out all day!

Benton and his Honey played hard!

After warming by the fire, we had a traditional feast of turkey and all the fixings. Mark, Jana, and Erin finally made it in from Montana to join us as well as Grandma and Grandpa. Benton and Clara had a great time together, and were happy to see Nana and G-Daddy walk through the door. Jacki was a wonderful host, and Christmas 2009 was a blast!
