Thanksgiving, part two

Thanksgiving morning we got up and dressed for the day. We are in our Thanksgiving best, but the rest of the thousands of guests were all in their Dallas Cowboy jerseys. There must have been some sort of football package going on at the hotel, because we were definitely in the minority not supporting the 'boys on game day. I don't have a picture, but I should have. It was wild. We grabbed a quick bite for breakfast, looked around the atrium for a while, visited Santa, then went to the ICE!
A real gingerbread house. Benton wanted down!
That's better, but I still won't smile for the camera.
The Gaylord was beautiful inside! I'm afraid Benton suffered from the very short nap and late night the day before. He was a force to be reckoned with until nap time.
The room where you waited in line to see Santa. Benton was not pleased with being sat on Santa's lap. We would have got the picture if Santa didn't look so creepy in it!
Benton and I loved all the Christmas decor. We could have wondered around for hours!
Our cute little conductor!
All bundled up ready to go into the ice.
He didn't want mittens.....
Didn't want his giant parka....or pretty much anything to do with the ice sculptures. To be fair, it was 9 degrees and very cold.
Chase and Macey
I was so impressed with the Ice, and would like to go back again sometime. Everything you see is carved out of ice!

Now to the part Benton did enjoy...the ice slides!
Sometimes he had to scoot his way down, but he did great.
Notice a theme for the day? Mom wants pictures, Benton is going stiff, not smiling, and screaming!

I had high hopes of taking our Christmas cards here, but the (much needed)parkas and unhappy child kinda dashed that....we still enjoyed it a ton! We went from here to our Thanksgiving buffet. It was wonderful! Think giant crab legs, prime rib, chocolate fountain, too many sweets to count, and so on. We ate until we could eat no more, took a long nap, then went to see a movie. It was a great day!
