Ft. Worth Zoo

If you're anything like me, your "to do" list is long. This is a thanksgiving update, and I'll just feel better if it's done and I can cross this off.

We spend our Thanksgiving with the entire Hanner fam in Grapevine at the Gaylord Resort. My, was it ever festive there! But that's another post!

Nana, Macey, Erin, Benton and I left at noon on Wednesday and headed to the Ft. Worth Zoo. The boys were still working. Benton grabbed a quick power nap on the way and we got to the zoo about an hour and a half before it closed. We had perfect weather, a boy who LOVES animals, and is just the perfect age to be at the zoo. We power walked through the zoo hitting up lots of Benton's favorites. He was just soaking it all in.
The gorilla was our first stop. He was quite large, and a little too close for the little man.
You can't really tell in the picture, but Benton has a very tight grip on Nana. They're a little larger in life than in the books, I guess.

We hit the wha whas, dadus, roars, baas, tigoos, teetahs, ninos, ohohohs, brs, zezus, plus more (in Benton speak of course). After some time spent in traffic, shopping at Charming Charlies, and a yummy dinner we were all ready to do some serious relaxing at the Gaylord. But if you know the Hanners, you know they don't sit still for long!
