The last four months at our house have just flown by. It seems like just yesterday we brought this tiny little baby home from the hospital. God has truly blessed us to have such a wonderful gift. Life at our house is so much more joyous because of our Benton. You will not meet a happier baby. At the doctor he weighed 16 pounds 3 oz and was 25 inches long. Dr. Faehnle thought he looked great and was very attentive.
Benton still loves his mobile and smiles and kicks with delight when I turn it on. He also loves to lay on the floor and play with his various little blankies with stuffed animals attached. Everything he can grab goes into his mouth right now. He is giggling when tickled and smiles when almost anyone talks to him. He smiles and looks in the mirror at himself.
This is one of his new toys. He rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time this weekend to get to the red elephant. Benton also loves to jump in his johnny jump up.
Nana got him a new bath seat for the big boy bath. Daddy decided he's still a little too small for it, but he enjoyed his first bath in the tub anyway.
This is an attempt to capture the elusive pouty face that he gives. As a general rule, the only time he fusses is when he is either hungry or ready for his nap. Right now Benton is sleeping in between 10 and 11 hours a night. He eats every four hours or so and is taking about 3 naps a day. What a lucky momma!
I don't really think it gets the desired outcome, because we usually laugh, or run for the camera.
Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch with Aunt Michelle, Uncle Zach, Clara, and Honey. Two very long and tiring hours later, we got some much needed food and dessert from Chilis.
Benton loves his cousin Clara. She was so sweet to bring him lots of pumpkins since he couldn't get them himself.
You have to snap very quickly to get a picture of the two of them together. Clara is soooo busy (and adorable!) Thanks Honey for going with us on your lunch break! This was definitely at four person job.
Look at them holding hands!
Sweet kisses! Clara is a fan of open mouth slobbery kisses. Benton sees it coming and opens wide.
Though I was a passi girl, Benton prefers the thumb. He's really got the hang of it and gets after it. He doesn't mind which hand.
He's holding his head really well, but still working on the sitting up. Really makes picture taking a challenge!
Can you tell he was hungry for the first part of our photo session?
His hair is getting so long. I realize it looks like he had a horn in this picture. We're working on a bald spot in the back from all that sleeping, but it also has some tints of red. Where his hair comes from is anyone's guess.
Love this picture!
And now for the costumes....I ordered this costume last year and was so excited for him to finally wear it. Of course, he was very good natured about have a very furry lion head put on him. As you can see, we're also very drooly today.
Isn't he adorable!!!!!
I just want to kiss his little face all day long.
Days like this are why I wanted to be a stay at home mom. We have so much fun together.
I can't wait to see what the next month holds for us. We love him so much!

Can I ask where the toy set came from with the elephant?
He is so adorable, I love his baby lion outfit. I am dressing Grayson in a kitty outfit and Wyatt as the dog. Bryce is 6, so he picks out his own outfit now.
