Benton visits and 100 Day!

Today has been a good one.  Hunter has hit another big milestone in bone marrow transplant--the 100 day mark post transplant.  To make it even sweeter, Mark and Jana arrived with Benton to celebrate.  The hours crept by for us until he got there.  We knew he wouldn't be able to sleep if we told him sooner, so Nana and G-Daddy got to our house early this morning and told him we were going to see someone he hadn't seen in a long time.  Benton was so surprised.  It was not even on his radar.  He told me that he thought his surprise was going swimming, but this was way better.  He is normally a really easy travel buddy, but this trip he asked if he was there yet about every 5 minutes.  Hunter and I felt the same way, looking at our watch hundreds of times until we laid eyes on him.

We had pie to celebrate 100 day.

After a yummy dinner, we went for a swim at the park's pool.

I cannot even say how much Hunter and I have missed our boys.  We have had a precious day soaking up every minute of Benton.  It just makes us even more ready to be home.  It won't be long now until we are all together!  You could not wipe a smile off our faces today.  To all of our prayer warriors, we thank you for all your love and care for us.  Today we celebrate all that the Lord has done for Hunter and rejoice!

Many of us have been praying so hard the last 10 days that this event -- this precious visit for Benton and for your two -- would take place. We are so thankful for this foretaste of good things to come.

Love you two, love your other three, and love your family team who have been such incredible examples.

God bless,

Phil & Donna
