Baby Blessing

Our church has switched things up a bit since Benton was a baby.  Our boys, along with their cousin Hudson, recently were prayed over by our Childrens' minister.  We have a series of parenting classes, and are paired with a mentor couple to help along the way.  We are grateful to be a part of a church that tries to equip parents to be the best they can be.  Thankfully we were up first thing.  Caleb found my snack stash in my diaper bag right before we got on stage, so to avoid a meltdown we took our snacks with us.

"Father in Heaven,
     What a gift you haven given the world in giving us these boys.  And, you have poured out your gifts  on them, gifts that point back to you.  Caleb Chase is a whole-hearted huntsman.  May he chase after you with his whole heart, his whole being, all the days of his life and lead others in pursuit of you.
     Clayton Zachary helps remind us that you formed us from the ground, breathed the breath of life into us, and remember us, your creation, in your almighty and splendid throne room.
     Hudson Drake, with his bright mind and spirit, remind us of how you slay dragons.  You, our almighty King and creator, can do anything.  So Father, we offer their lives to you.  Make them yours.  Rule in their hearts.  Conquer their dragons that many will know your glory through them.

Somehow in the chaos of the morning, I forgot my camera.  I was so happy that the GG's were there to snap a few pictures at church.  We are so thankful for our boys, and hope we can raise them to make a difference in this world!
