the fourth

Hope your fourth was as wonderful as ours! We started out the day by listening to my Grandpa preach, ate lunch with some of my family we don't get to see enough, and finished the day out with part of our small group from church at our house along with Nana, G-Daddy, and Aunt E. It doesn't get much better for us.

Thankfully, the rain let up for us to enjoy some outside time grilling, throwing washers, and playing some bocce ball in our soggy backyard. With a little mosquito spray, we were good to go! Ashley and I showed the boys a thing or two about bocce ball!

Our neighborhood is out of the city limits, and we usually have quite the fireworks show from our neighbors. This year was no different. Saturday night we sat out in our driveway and watching many fireworks (and $$$$) shoot up right above us. Benton was not a fan gripping tightly onto my arm and telling me "Mommy I go to bed now!" I guess Hunter was inspired, so Sunday he and the boys went to the fireworks stand and each spent $20. I would say the little pyros got their money's worth. Ashley and I were trying to keep there from being any major injuries to our husbands.

Benton is into making faces. Here are his silly and happy faces. Goofy boy!

Oh boys! I guess you never grow out of wanting to blow things up. They were like a little kid at Christmas with their giddy little grins. What a fun day!

I think your email title describes the boys the best-- "Two flat idiots." Thanks for hosting us, we had fun!
