Our little family just got back from our first vacation as a family of three. We've traveled to many places, but always with others, or a getaway with Hunter and me leaving the little man behind. We decided to go the the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine and had a blast! What a family friendly place! We will be visiting again!

Benton, happy to be at our destination, and finished with our "car tip." He was so sweet the entire trip, loving all the attention from us. Everywhere we went he wanted to hold "mommy daddy hand."

We did lots of relaxing. It was nice to "have to" lay down and take naps with our little guy. He slept nights on the pull out couch and enjoyed having us right there in the same room.

The waterpark was just perfect for Benton. He got more and more brave each time we went.

He played for hours in the "bubbles."

We ate most of our meals at the hotel. As you can see, we enjoyed nightly ice cream in our pajamas.

Erinn took one day off of work to come play with us. We visited the Dallas Aquarium, and Benton had a great time with her.

Benton was most impressed with the black lights by the bat cave. He kept telling me "hand purple."

Benton like seeing the octopus, seahorse, and starfish. He could have cared less about most of the other stuff we saw.

Little man has been introduced to donuts, and he's in love. He can put them away.

The last morning before we left, we wanted to grab a little more time "play water." Benton decided he wanted to slide, and by the end of the morning he walked himself up the stairs, climbed in the slide, and took off toward his daddy. He even went down face first. My little daredevil also loved the wave pool, and the mushroom that dumped buckets of water on his head. We're going to have lots of fun this summer.

Hunter told me, "I never thought it would be this fun to chase a kid around 18 inches of water." There's just something about watching your own little guy have such a great time that makes it enjoyable. Hunter is such a good daddy!

I will always cherish the memories of this trip!
