8 Months

Benton loves his daddy!  All he does is talk about him when he's gone (dadada) and wants to hang out with him when he's home.  The big smile that comes across his face when Hunter walks in the door will always melt my little heart.

Here's a quick run down on the accomplishments of the month....waving hi and bye (occasionally), flirting with any women who come his way, scooting backwards on his tummy, eating like a pig (cereal, fruit, veggie, meat), feeding himself puffies, and working hard on two bottom teeth.  He's getting to be a real handful lunging and diving for everything in sight.
Yes, we own clothes.  The boy loves to be naked!
As you can see, Hunter is the proud new owner of a drift boat.  Benton is already in the captain's chair.
Many fun memories ahead for these two together in daddy's boat!

Here is our maiden voyage.  It's made to be a rowboat.  Hunter couldn't wait for the motor to come in, so we took it to Lake Kirby (on a windy day) to test is out.  Forshadowing...hint hint
Benton's life jacket is a little big.  Don't worry, Hunter is taking me to Ft. Worth shopping for V-Day.  We'll have to stop by Cabelas for the right size I'm sure.

Helper!

I wouldn't have missed this boat trip for the world.  Turns out when it's windy, you don't want to be in a rowboat that you don't know how to paddle, against the wind, about to run into the damn.  You might just have to jump out, walk the boat back to shore in the poopy water, and get wet.  I wouldn't know, just saying...it could happen.  I don't have any picture proof, and if you ask Hunter and Chase that wouldn't happen to them.
My wonderful hubby booked us at the Ashton in downtown Ft. Worth and has already surprised me with new solar lights for our sidewalk.  Shaping up to be a great weekend!

Benton was such fun at ACU today!! And he IS definitely a flirt with women. All of the young ladies really thought he was cute. I just wish you had a pix of my two "smart?" boys on the maiden voyage.

So cute. That little Benton is precious anyway, but put him in an oversized life jacket, sitting at the front of a boat and he is a sight to behold. Thanks for posting pics of your precious angels.
