8 hours!!!

Why is this post titled 8 hours? Well, that's because that's how long Benton has been sleeping without waking the past 5 nights. I know Hunter is relieved to be getting a normal amount of sleep at night so he can function at work. I am strangely sad because I enjoyed our nighttime visits and snuggling. There have been very few days where I felt like a walking zombie because I have the opportunity to sleep in or take naps during the day. I just can't seem to find any part of being a mom that I don't love, including getting up in the night.

Our social lives have been busy lately. This past weekend we celebrated my precious niece Clara's first birthday. It seems like only yesterday that we were anxiously awaiting her birth. She has such a fun loving personality and I know that Benton and big cousin Clara will be good friends. Her celebration was a pool party attended by friends and family. Daddy grilled, the boys swam, and Clara racked in the presents. I was the official photographer, and managed to not take any pictures of me with the birthday girl. Oops!

This is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. It's a camo diaper cover. We call it his loincloth. He also got a matching bib and blanket to go along with a few hunting themed outfits. Thanks Crawfords!

On a more somber note, keep the Huskin family in your prayers. My Uncle Jimmy lost his brother and sister-in-law in a car accident last night. Tragedies like this remind me to cherish every moment with those we love. Off to dinner with the Reedys!
