WATS Day

Our church has started the tradition of having a WATS or We Are The Sermon Day. Instead of going to our regular service then class we have a devotional then go out into homes in the community that could use our help. This is the third year that our NewlyMarriedLife class has worked together. Usually there is lots of sweat involved, but not this year. It was drizzling and about 50 degrees. Even though it rained and rained Saturday night we still came out to do what we could. We had the honor of working for a very sweet older woman named Gloria. She has very bad arthritis an can't get out anymore. The boys wacked her bushes, trimmed her trees, then mowed her yard. While they were working, Gloria's neighbor asked for the tree trimmers to come to her house. Gloria's home health nurse was also needing help with her trees, so the boys cut hers back as well. Here is a picture of the group that was still left when we took the picture. We weren't quite ready for the auto timer.


We're going back to paint this week, so this is about all the yardwork the girls did.

A good time was had by all. I'm going to have to get better about pictures.
On the baby front, I'm now 32 weeks. My doctor has said no more travels. At our sonogram last Wednesday Benton weighed 3 pounds 13 oz. and was 15 inches long. And he had 9 more weeks to grow. He's going to be a big boy. All was healthy, so that's always an answer to prayers.
The belly button is officially poking out. I had never seen what the inside looked like, but now I know.
I am very excited about the events of this next week. Michelle and Clara are coming Wednesday. I have a shower with the teachers at school on Thursday followed by our first birthing class. We saw Baby Momma last night with Jeremy and M'chelle, Collin and Holly, and Chase and Macey so I think we're officially prepared for class. Sunday is our big shower with church and friends.
